Water Safety Code

We hope our water safety series has been of use to you. We want everyone to enjoy the water but stay safe. We’ll always be here for you, but it’s always a good idea to be equipped with the knowledge to look after yourself.

Always follow the Water Safety Code

When around water:

Stop: Be vigilant and look for the dangers
Think: Look for any signs and be sure to read and understand them
Stay Together: Don’t swim alone – always go with family or friends

In an emergency:

Call 999 or 112: Shout for help and dial the emergency services
Float: If you fall into the water, float or swim on your back. If someone else has fallen in, throw them something that floats to hold on to
